The active laser safety window kit is particularly interesting for OEM customers due to the availability of different sizes as a kit. It consists of the laser safety window in sandwich structure, the LaserSpy as sensor and the required mounting material for the sensor. The respective window is also offered together with the sensor and a appropriate adapter plate. The complete laser safety window kit is CE certified (test class T1) and suitable for the wavelength range between 425 and 465 nm up to a power density of 707 x 10e6 W/m2.
When installing in the laser system, it must be ensured that the edge of the laser safety window is mounted or encased in a lightproof fashion. The active laser safety window offers greater safety during automatic, unsupervised operation of high-power laser systems. If laser radiation hits the pane with sufficient power, it is coupled to the sensor integrated in the window. This immediately switches off the laser before dangerous radiation can escape through the window.
The elimination of the frame makes integration even easier, e.g. in a machine enclosure. This makes it possible for the first time to integrate this technology into the existing design concept of the machine or machining center.
